Using the Steamova
How long does it take to heat up?
Roughly 3–5 minutes from a cold start, depending on how full the tank is and your mains voltage. You'll hear the pressure build; the machine is ready when steam runs steadily rather than sputtering.
How long does one tank last?
Around 10–15 minutes of continuous steaming. That's enough for an oven door, a shower screen, or a hob in one go. Let the unit cool and release pressure before refilling — the manual walks you through the safety cap procedure.
Do I need to use distilled water?
Tap water is fine in most areas. If you live somewhere with hard water, distilled or filtered water will slow down limescale buildup and extend the life of the heating element.
Can I add detergent or vinegar to the tank?
No. Only plain water. Detergents, vinegar, essential oils and descaling solutions can damage the seals and heating element, and will void your warranty.
What it works on
What surfaces is it good for?
Sealed tile and grout, glass and mirrors, shower screens, taps and sinks, stovetops and oven interiors, extractor hoods, sealed worktops, uPVC window frames, car wheels and upholstery, mattresses, sofas, curtains and pet bedding.
What should I keep it away from?
Unsealed wood, unsealed stone, laminate flooring, leather, silk, thin plastics, cold glass (thermal shock can crack it), and anything with water-sensitive electronics. When in doubt, test a small hidden area first.
Does steam actually sanitise?
High-temperature steam is widely used to reduce surface bacteria and dust mites. Results depend on surface type, contact time and technique. It's a strong everyday clean — not a substitute for professional disinfection or pest control.

Which colour should I choose?
Slate Gray and Teal Blue are identical machines — the difference is purely cosmetic.
Which plug type do I need?
Choose US, UK or EU at checkout to match your country's sockets. Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the UK use the UK three-pin plug. Australia and New Zealand customers should contact us before ordering so we can confirm the right fit.
What's included in the box?
The steam cleaner, measuring cup, funnel and the standard attachment set — nozzles and brushes for grout, glass, stovetops and upholstery.
Is it noisy?
You'll hear the steam release, similar to a kettle at the boil. There's no motor noise.

How long will my order take?
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery then takes 5–10 business days and express 5–8 business days, depending on destination. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is S$4.99 and express is S$8.99. Standard shipping is free on qualifying orders — the discount applies automatically at checkout, no code needed.
Where's my tracking number?
It's emailed to you as soon as your order ships. Allow 24–48 hours for the carrier to start scanning. See Track Your Order for more.
Do you ship to my country?
We currently ship to Singapore, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. If your country isn't at checkout, email us — we're expanding.
Returns & support
What if I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery to return an unused item in its original packaging. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at your cost. See our Return & Refund Policy.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Email info@steamova.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo or short video. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund and cover return shipping.
